He JUST THINKS he looks like Clark Gable. What do YOU think? The story of Chris and Clark Gable During the Korean war, as a youth, Chris was stationed in Germany. He was dating a German girl at the time and she told him that he reminded her of a movie star. When he asked her which one, she told him "Clark Gable." Well, he felt pretty flattered. That is until he got back to his army base and told the boys there what she said. They all laughed heartily at the comparison and told him, "She must want to get to America in the worst way!" Does Chris look like Clark Gable? To this day, Chris is found to be asking the question, "Do I look like Clark Gable? These days he still gets the laughs and wonders was she for real or was it all just an illusion lost in time? Could he really look like Clark Gable? Should he doubt her sincerity? He always did feel some kind of connection with Clark Gable. They had so many things in common, including charm & wit. You can help Chris decide by taking the survey to the right. Deanna Yildiz's view on the Subject Chris enjoys having his portrait painted. In this painting, he holds a picture of Clark Gable in his hands, reflecting back to his youth. For some reason the Clark Gable connection always stuck with him. He often asks people if they think he looks like Clark Gable. It's a bit of a joke. He's wanted to be depicted looking like Clark Gable for a long time (but then he'd be unrecognizable), so in this painting, he's looking at Clark Gable, trapped by the comparison he can't get away from in his mind.
